Grammar exercises based on lyrics from 'Das Nikolauslied'. In the first exercise students must choose the correct verb, in order to re-tell the story of Santa's visit on the 6th of December. In the second exercise students must conjugate the key verbs from the story. Grammar dressed up in a bit of tinsel.
Powerpoint practising the use of GERN. The first slide acts as a homepage for the activity. Students must select a letter on the homepage and are then hyperlinked to a multiple choice question on the use of GERN.
Activity featuring the 12 Olympics posters commisionned from artists such as Tracey Emin and Rachel Whitread. The Powerpoint aims to stimulate speculation, discussion, interpretation, a bit of guesswork, and suggestions for titles. Lots of questions in German to structure discussion and (hopefully) get the pupils thinking. The title of each piece can be revealed with a mouse-click once suggestions have been made.

All 32 qualifying countries are featured but the game will randomly select a set of ten teams each time it is opened and will randomise the order in which they are displayed. I showed my KS4 classes the Til Schweiger film KOKOWÄÄH and they loved it. Some of the scenes are very accessible in terms of the language level, so I transcribed one of the scenes and added some activities. You'll need a copy of the film, though.
An interview with a homeless person in Berlin, followed by questions in English and an improvisational role play. Pitched at able Year 11s but could be used with Yr 12. The text is authentic, but for a handful of edits.
